Program will lay out opportunities on Austin Light Rail, connect industry with local vendors and provide clarity on project expenditure timeline

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Today, Austin Transit Partnership, an independent organization charged with
designing and building a core light rail system in Austin, announced it will hold an industry-focused
event on May 25 in Austin. The event, titled “Transforming Transit Together; Austin Light Rail
Industry Expo,” will provide needed information to industry firms on the expected project
opportunities and facilitate networking with local small business vendors that will be vital to the
construction of this core light rail system. The event is open to potential industry partners and
vendors interested in working on the $5 billion core light rail system build. The program will include
remarks from Greg Canally, executive director, Austin Transit Partnership, and panel discussions
on the makeup of the project and how to work with local Austin vendors and small businesses.
